Pop Shots – On The Road
Welcome to your weekly dose of pop world musings. Covering all things pop culture, this week Pop Shots is hitting you with thoughts on everything from where Olivia Rodrigo’s fall tour is set to begin, to Morgan Wallen walking out on stage alone, to The Pussycat Dolls’ ticket sales woes, and since this is Pop Shots you know everything is seasoned with a little bit of attitude.
* Olivia Rodrigo announced a 65-date tour in support of her upcoming third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love. The tour will kick off in Hartford, CT, on September 25th, and speaking as a CT native, if she doesn’t come out in a Hartford Yard Goats jersey, we riot!
* The Rolling Stones announced their 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues, will be released on July 10th. Choosing a release date was hard for the band, as all of them were born before the modern calendar existed.

* Hilary Duff was the commencement speaker at Northeastern University’s graduation ceremony. Rest assured, it was an incredibly relevant speech to everyone in the 2026 graduating class pursuing dreams of being a child star.
* Noah Kahan told Rolling Stone that after his 2024 tour he was so unhappy that he considered doing literally anything else with his life. Personally, I feel the same way whenever I hear Noah Kahan, so I can only imagine what it must be like for him on tour, hearing his music every single night. Gotta be rough.
* Shakira has added five more U.S. dates to her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. Sadly, none of them are in the Adam’s World Arena, aka my living room.

* Morgan Wallen told his audience at his two Las Vegas shows that several local celebrities flaked on joining him for his walk-out to the stage. It’s almost as if some celebrities don’t want to be associated with a person who uses the n-word. Who’da thunk!
* M.I.A. has been booted off Kid Cudi’s current tour for remarks she made during a show regarding her political leanings, and thoughts on immigration. You know, I think I might know an artist who’d be happy to have her walk out with him, and he just played Vegas twice.
* The Pussycat Dolls canceled all but one of their North American tour dates, citing poor ticket sales for the reunion shows. Once again, the Adam’s World Arena is available, although PCD’s choreography might have to be reworked a bit so I don’t lose a lamp.
That’s all for this edition of Pop Shots, but come back next Monday for more shots on all things pop.
