Pop Shots – Drink Specials

Welcome to your weekly dose of pop world musings. Covering all things pop culture, this week Pop Shots is hitting you with thoughts on everything from what Snoop has been sippin’ on, to Charlie Puth drinking the AI Kool-Aid, to the beverage Justin Bieber tossed at paparazzi, and since this is Pop Shots you know everything is seasoned with a little bit of attitude.

* Snoop Dogg is paying tribute to 2Pac with the release of a wine named after their hit single “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted.” Not to be outdone, Diddy is also making his own wine … in the toilet of his prison cell.

* A Florida woman named Ivanna Lisette Ortiz was arrested for shooting at Rihanna’s Los Angeles home. Ortiz has been booked on felony charges of attempted murder, and is being held on $10.2 million bail. Authorities were considering forcing her to watch Rihanna’s 2012 movie Battleship on a loop, but discovered that would be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

* Kanye West announced his first stadium show in five years will take place on April 3rd at SoFi Stadium in California. I just have to ask – hasn’t the state of California been through enough?

* Jack White took to Instagram to clarify that despite a recent quote from an interview, he does not think Taylor Swift’s music is boring. I’m sorry, but Jack, you’re 50, you’re allowed to think Taylor Swift is boring. It’s really OK.

* Charlie Puth accepted a role as chief music officer for AI-powered music platform Moises. Here’s a live look-in at his first day on the job …

* Chappell Roan confronted paparazzi in Paris while she was there for Paris Fashion Week, saying they were disregarding her boundaries. Ironically, I feel the same way every time a Chappell Roan song comes on the radio.

* In more news of pop stars vs. photographers, Maple Leif Garrett, aka Justin Bieber, threw a half full bottle of water at paparazzi, missing all of them, during a night out with his wife in Los Angeles. For all her faults, Chappell Roan probably has a better arm.

* Hip-hop artist Young Miko is the face of Gap’s first-ever Spanish-language video campaign. Wait, are you saying Los Del Rio weren’t available?

That’s all for this edition of Pop Shots, but come back next Monday for more shots on all things pop.
