Pop Shots – Beefs and Battles

Welcome to your weekly dose of pop world musings. Covering all things pop culture, this week Pop Shots is hitting you with thoughts on everything from Cardi B’s breakup, to Ja Rule providing some in-flight entertainment, to Pitbull’s war against hair, and since this is Pop Shots you know everything is seasoned with a little bit of attitude.
* Cardi B has broken up with Stefon Diggs. Diggs is said to be fine, as that wasn’t the ring he was looking for anyway.
* Bad Bunny’s “DtMF” jumped nine spots, all the way to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 following his Super Bowl LX halftime show. Meanwhile, after the Turning Point USA halftime show, Kid Rock’s entire catalog can still be found in dollar bins.

* Ja Rule issued an apology after publicly beefing with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda on a Delta flight. The flight was apparently to the year 2005.
* JoJo Siwa spoke to a class at Harvard Business School. She gave valuable information for all the students who want to leverage their childhood fame from being on Nickelodeon.
* J.Cole announced a summer tour that will hit more than 50 cities across 15 countries. Doctors are hopeful it will be the cure for worldwide insomnia.

* Pitbull will be attempting to set the Guinness world record for the most people wearing bald caps. The world record attempt will take place during his July 20th show at BST Hyde Park in London. If I show up, he’ll have no idea if I’m wearing a bald cap, or not. Your move, Pitbull!
* In an interview with GQ, BTS said they’d like to stay together into their 60s. That should make for some interesting choreography for the prescription drug ads they’ll be starring in.
* Poppy, Amy Lee, and Courtney LaPlante’s collaborative single, “End of You” has reached the top spot of Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. This is proof that modern rock fans actually do like female artists … as long as they can picture them making out with each other. (incidentally, the song is f*cking great)
That’s all for this edition of Pop Shots, but come back next Monday for more shots on all things pop.
