Pop Shots – New Ideas

Welcome to your weekly dose of pop world musings. Covering all things pop culture, this week Pop Shots is hitting you with thoughts on everything from Megan Thee Stallion’s new business venture, to people wanting to deport Nicki Minaj, to the legendary artist that just joined TikTok, and since this is Pop Shots you know everything is seasoned with a little bit of attitude.
* Megan Thee Stallion opened her first Popeyes restaurant on New Year’s Eve. Located in Miami, it’s the only Popeyes with a menu that includes wet ass pussy.
* Buffalo legends Goo Goo Dolls called it an “incredible honor” to have “Iris” be the last song played after the Bills final game at Highmark Stadium. There’s no word on if the band celebrated by throwing each other through folding tables, but we can always hope.
* A petition was launched on Change.org to have Nicki Minaj deported. This came after she shared support for the current president, and his administration. Geez, deportation seems kind of harsh. It’s not like she’s married to a registered sex offender, or something … oh, wait.
* Celine Dion has joined TikTok. With all due respect to Celine, who has a tremendous voice, and an incredible catalog of hits, you know a trend is over when the parents hop on board.

* Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have finalized their divorce, which means it’s time for me to finalize my plans on how I’m going to get a date with Nicole Kidman.
* Gwyneth Paltrow revealed in a Good Hang podcast interview that she lost a movie role because of the reaction to her “conscious uncoupling” with Coldplay’s Chris Martin. This isn’t the first time something came up that cost her a role – never forget that her father wouldn’t let her be in the Vanilla Ice movie Cool as Ice.

* Bad Bunny got himself into trouble when he touched a historical artifact at the National Institute of Anthropology and History in Mexico. Sometimes celebrities seem totally unrelatable, but Bad Bunny doing something every kid on a school field trip tries to do really puts him more on a normal person’s level … or at least a normal fourth grader’s level.
* BTS announced that their fifth full-length album will be released on March 20th. You be sure Beavis will be into it.
That’s all for this edition of Pop Shots, but come back next Monday for more shots on all things pop.
