Vid Pick: RME - Kick The Rhyme
Friday, January 08, 2016

Starting the year off with some incredibly good news for fans of NYC's indie hip-hop scene, RME have returned with a new EP titled Role Models! The first single off of Role Models is "Kick The Rhyme," a lyrics based song with a smoothed out sound, reminiscent of the Native Tongues era while still being decidedly present day.

I first featured RME here way back in 2010, and have written about their members' solo projects a number of times, as well. I remember seeing the group perform at the old Bowery Poetry Club during the Bondfire days, and although it's a brand new song, listening to "Kick The Rhyme" brings back some good memories.
