Vid Pick: The Band Called FUSE - Soul Rock Anthem
Friday, March 07, 2014

Back to back Vid Picks of the hip-rock-soul variety? Yup! I can’t claim that this happened on purpose, but maybe it’s a sign we’re finally reaching the heyday of this largely under-celebrated genre. This week’s dose of hip-rock-soul comes from NYC hip-hop veteran Silent Knight, and his latest project, The Band Called FUSE. Featuring all the emotional output of one of Silent Knight’s traditional hip-hop songs, “Soul Rock Anthem” has the added dimensions of a real rock band, and perfectly placed soul singer. It would be tough to not move your body to this one, so I don’t suggest even trying to sit still after clicking play.
