Vid Pick: Kalil Johnson - Kimbo Slice
Friday, January 03, 2014

Very late in 2012 Kalil Johnson released a fantastic album titled Kingdom. While major labels would be done with a project after its initial hype period, being an independent artist means an album’s life span is however long the artist wants it to be, which is why over a year after dropping Kingdom, Johnson has released another video from the project, this one for the song “Kimbo Slice.” Kimbo Slice was once the most buzzed about street fighter this side of Zangief, and after one listen to “Kimbo Slice” you’ll feel Johnson should be one of the most buzzed about artists in hip-hop. Give “Kimbo Slice” a listen, no ducking of gigantic right hooks is required.
