Vid Pick: JohnNY U. - Lucky Catch

Before I brought my Artist Of The Week feature to a close back in 2011 I made sure to feature each individual member of the Brooklyn hip-hop crew O.I.S.D. I knew that as a team they were a powerful force, but they also deserved recognition as individual artists. One of those individual artists is JohnNY U., and with his latest single, “Lucky Catch,” he’s proving that the foot soldiers of the O.I.S.D. army are strong enough to stand on their own. JohnNY U. is also a great live performer, which is why I love that the video for “Lucky Catch” incorporates concert footage. If you’re a longtime reader of the site you’re already very familiar with O.I.S.D., but check out this reminder of why their members shouldn’t be slept on.
