Vid Pick: Duece Bug - Don’t Sleep
Friday, October 25, 2013

I’ve written about Connecticut emcee Duece Bug a number of times over the past few years, and I have to say his latest single, “Don’t Sleep,” is his best effort to date. Lyrically, and flow-wise, Duece Bug has stepped it up a notch, and while his other songs were rowdy, mosh inducing, tunes, “Don’t Sleep” is a slightly darker fare, with a killer Fiona Apple sample used for the chorus, and scratches by Sid Wilson of Slipknot. As a whole, the song is a great next step in Duece’s career.

To top everything off, the video for “Don’t Sleep” was done by Edwin Escobar, who has become THE go-to guy for music videos in the state of CT. As usual, he does not disappoint.
