Pop Shots – Beef Is On The Menu

Welcome to your weekly dose of pop world musings. Covering all things pop culture, this week Pop Shots is hitting you with thoughts on everything from Beyoncé having another hater, to Ja Rule and 50 Cent still going after each other, to Drake being at odds with T-Pain, and since this is Pop Shots you know everything is seasoned with a little bit of attitude.
* Country artist Gavin Adcock decided to cause a stir during a recent concert by going on a rant about Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, saying, among other things, “That sh*t ain’t country music.” Dude, your last name is Adcock, do you really want to open yourself up to this?
* In more Beyoncé related news, she may be looking for a new ride after her “flying” car concert prop tilted in mid-air while she was in it, high above her audience, during a show in Houston. Here’s a suggestion – unless you have a robot maid, don’t attempt to have a flying car.

* Kanye West teamed up with Sean Combs’ Son, King Combs, to release an EP titled Never Stop. The EP includes a song titled “Diddy Free” that calls for the release of the notorious woman abuser. Reportedly, the duo’s only regret was that Jeffrey Epstein wasn’t alive to do a guest spot.
* Ja Rule just can’t leave 50 Cent alone. This time he had remarks about his longtime rival after a video made its way onto social media that showed a less than impressive turnout for one of Fiddy’s shows. I gotta say, even if the crowd was small, at least no one had to blow anyone for a bottle of water.

* Benson Boone notched his first #1 album when his sophomore effort, American Heart, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. This is especially impressive since, based on his name, I assume he’s a 1940’s comic strip character.
* The opening date of Marilyn Manson’s U.K. tour, which was supposed to be October 29th, has been canceled following public backlash, political pressure, and an open letter from a member of Parliament … wait, Parliament-Funkadelic weighed in on this???

* T-Pain recently made a pointed comment about Drake, noting the rapper hasn’t taken his own advice when it comes to making a graceful exit from music. Drake responded on Instagram, claiming T-Pain has always resented him. So, how quickly do you think Kendrick Lamar’s name came up on T-Pain’s caller ID?
* LeAnn Rimes had to flee the stage mid-set during a recent concert when her front dental bridge unexpectedly fell out. I hope for her next show she breaks out a cover of this BDP classic
That’s all for this edition of Pop Shots, but come back next Monday for more shots on all things pop.
