Vid Pick: G.T.P. - Waste Management
Friday, December 05, 2014

If you're a hip-hop head who embraces the boom-bap era, and seeks out the type of music that reminds you of hip-hop's essence, you're going to love G.T.P.'s latest, "Waste Management."

The "waste" the group is tossing in the dumpster are the so-called emcees and DJs who are not living up to their respective titles. If an artist is wack, G.T.P. is lyrically throwing them in an ever-growing landfill, and doing so over a beat that features triumphant horns that sound as if they're announcing a great artist's arrival.

Listen to the horns, G.T.P. are great artists, and they aren't just arriving, they're here. Their named stands for Ghetto Transcends Potential, and their music is an example of their potential being realized.
