Vid Pick: MeccaGodZilla - ISA VIOLET
Friday, July 11, 2014

To say MeccaGodZilla is a veteran of NYC's hip-hop scene would be correct, but that almost short changes him, as musically he's done so much more. Playing with musical boundaries once again, MeccaGodZilla recently released ERROARS 2.2: Metal Sakura, an 18 track, 70+ minute, instrumental album influenced by his experiences while living in NYC, Long Island, and Tokyo.

Working with a myriad of genres, the first single off of ERROARS 2.2: Metal Sakura is the part hip-hop, part experimental, part ambient, "ISA VIOLET," the video for which was was shot in Tokyo with HIBI, aka DJ Hibi Bliss, taking viewers on a visual tour of the city with MeccaGodZilla's music as the soundtrack.

It's a very cool clip for a very cool track, and if you dig it you can pick up the entire album on bandcamp.
