Moonshine Burrito is the collaborative effort between Ciphurphace and Jake Palumbo, and the music they’re making is great, in large part, because you can tell both of them are having a lot of fun creating it. That kind of fun is contagious, and when you combine it with the fact that both emcees have some serious skills on the mic, you get a good old fashioned hip-hop song that involves emcees being emcees because they love being emcees (that may possibly be the worst pull quote I’ve ever written, and I encourage the SpaceLab team to use it). The production on “Moonshine Burrito” is fantastic, from the horns, to the scratches, as it’s the kind of track that gets you out of your chair and moving, or moving in your chair if you’re in a place that frowns upon dancing, although I’m not sure why you’re living in the town from Footloose. Is property cheap there, or something? I feel like I may have digressed a bit. Play “Moonshine Burrito” and have a great time.
B-Listers are a select group of artists that were featured in my Artist Of The Week series that ran every Monday from April of '06 to April of '11. All of these artists have two things in common; extreme talent, and a flight path far too under the radar for my liking. They took on the title of B-Listers as they embraced being featured by me, Adam B. Check out the AOTW Archives for all the interviews.
