Sometimes I find artists, sometimes artists find me. The latter was the case with Tiny Animals, who, being longtime friends with Che-Val's Kenny Cash, hit me up after seeing Che-Val featured here a few weeks ago.
With a sound that's partially influenced by pop punk, with some 80s pop-rock thrown in, there's a naturally appealing quality to the music of Tiny Animals. The band saw some fame a handful of years ago, hitting the stage at Bonnaroo in 2010, and having a song placed on the hit MTV show Jersey Shore. Now, after a bit of a performance hiatus, they're back in action, with a new album due out this fall.
Since we have a few months to wait out before we get to hear the album, check out Tiny Animals' video for their song "Wait For Me." It came out in 2011, so this one qualifies as "an oldie, but a goodie," and I think it serves as a perfect example as to why they're a band worth waiting for.
B-Listers are a select group of artists that were featured in my Artist Of The Week series that ran every Monday from April of '06 to April of '11. All of these artists have two things in common; extreme talent, and a flight path far too under the radar for my liking. They took on the title of B-Listers as they embraced being featured by me, Adam B. Check out the AOTW Archives for all the interviews.
