Vid Pick: Dessa - Sound The Bells
Friday, February 06, 2015

I've spent a lot of time over the years gushing about how much I love the music of Doomtree emcee, singer, poet, and all around hip-hop superhero, Dessa. She's one of my all-time faves, so you know when I saw she'd released a video for "Sound The Bells," which is off of her 2013 album, Parts of Speech, I'd be sharing it with everyone.

The clip, which was filmed in Mexico, is strikingly beautiful. Dessa, and director Daniel Cummings, filmed in underwater caves, and in an incredible underwater museum created by artist Jason DeCaires Taylor.

This might be the first music video that would make Jacques Cousteau proud, and it will certainly make everyone understand why I'm such a huge fan of Dessa.
