Vid Pick: Political Animals - Ultra Violence
Friday, December 12, 2014

This past week Joey Batts toured all of Connecticut with a cavalry of hip-hop artists as they raised money for charity on Batts' first ever Hip-Hop for the Homeless tour. One of the acts on that tour was Political Animals, a hip-hop band fronted by a fantastic, creative emcee by the name of Sotorios.

I've enjoyed Political Animals' live show for a number of years, and while watching them the other night I realized I'd totally slipped up and never featured them here. That changes today!

Check out the video for their single "Ultra Violence," which they did well before Lana Del Rey released an album of the same name. Sotorios spits thought provoking rhymes, as he and the band perfectly match emotions to create the kind of hip-hop we could use a lot more of... preferably from Political Animals!
