Vid Pick: M-TRI & DJ Leecy T - Trading Places

One of NYC hip-hop's most celebrated couples, we all know M-TRI is a dope emcee, and DJ Leecy T is incredible on the ones and twos, but did you know they each have BOTH of those skills?

On their latest song, "Trading Places," they show how multifaceted they are, as they do exactly what the title says; M-TRI gets behind the turntables, and Leecy T gets on the mic. The result is really awesome. Funky, fun, and with a classic boom-bap feel, "Trading Places" is the perfect song to cap off the summer with.

The colorful video for "Trading Places" was directed by Crazy Al Cayne, and features K. Gaines adding some of his trademark wildness to things. The song is off of M-TRI and DJ Leecy T's upcoming album, Monday Morning Music, which is due out in 2015, and is already on my "Eagerly Anticipated Albums" list.
