Vid Pick: Jake Lef - Can’t Quit Now

Jake Lef is an artist who doesn’t release nearly as much music as he should, but when he does release something it reminds everyone of what a great emcee sounds like. “Can’t Quit Now” is the latest example of this. Off of Jake’s Mirror Mirror EP, which was released at the start of the year, the lyrical skills, as well as the honesty, and inspirational aspects of the song, make it exactly the kind of thing wish we heard more often. Of course, if we did hear it more often, who knows if it we’d appreciate it the way we should. So maybe I’m wrong, maybe Jake’s curious release schedule works just fine, because “Can’t Quit Now” is a breath of fresh air, and it’s here at just the right time.
