Vid Pick: Louis Logic - A Day Late & A Dollar Short (Live)
Friday, March 15, 2013

Normally I’m not a fan of live hip-hop footage because the sound is terrible, and as a result you can rarely hear the lyrics. This Louis Logic clip, thankfully, is an exception to that rule. The video was taken at his recent show at Union Pool in Brooklyn, NY, and features the first single off of his upcoming album, Look on the Blight Side. The song, “A Day Late & A Dollar Short,” is about wasting too much time partying, and not realizing you should have contributed more to your craft until it’s too late. As with many Louis Logic songs, you can really feel the personal nature of the lyrics, and that’s one of the things that makes Louis so great, his unabashed, authentic, honesty. Enjoy!
