Loss is the hardest thing we have to deal with in life, and Kero One’s latest single, “R.I.P.,” beautifully articulates that feeling through the telling of multiple stories, all of which being real life events from his life. The first verse, which is the story of an unnecessary shooting, seems especially timely with the number of school shootings we’ve been dealing with in the U.S. To go with being a great song, the video for “R.I.P.” is a visual masterpiece, and should be viewed in full screen mode. OK, so this isn’t a party jam, but we can’t party all the time. Sometimes we need to reflect, and Kero One has given us a heck of a song to do that to.
B-Listers are a select group of artists that were featured in my Artist Of The Week series that ran every Monday from April of '06 to April of '11. All of these artists have two things in common; extreme talent, and a flight path far too under the radar for my liking. They took on the title of B-Listers as they embraced being featured by me, Adam B. Check out the AOTW Archives for all the interviews.
