Boobies and Crotches and Shemales, oh my!

Friday night I hit up another Nervous System show, this time at Jimmy’s Seaside in Stamford, CT. They were amazing on stage, as usual, but there’s something I’d like to add this time around that I forgot to last time, they’re also great people. These are the kind of cats who not only set the mood with their music, but also with their outlook on performing. They obviously love what they’re doing and the vibe spreads very quickly. At the show on Friday was the normal, extremely beautiful, Nervous System crowd. I was lucky enough to have one girl put my hands on her chest! :o) Someone call Chris Jericho cuz that was most definitely the Highlight of the Night! Once again, don’t sleep, see them live!

Speaking of body parts, it seems as though the now chunky Britney Spears has found new ways to whore herself to the world. Apparently not content with only being known for her mastery of lip synching and writhing on stage, the already once divorced Spears decided to show off her ability to grab her new fiancé's crotch. On the classiness scale this ranks below Janet Jackson when she enganged in titty exposure and just barely above Courtney Love in general.

In other pornographic news I have found both the best reason to vote for Bush in 2004 and the best reason to vote against Bush in 2004. The best reason to vote against Bush has to be Fuck The Vote, a very real organization that wants to sway voters through sex. Hey, send a female representative to Connecticut now! Unfortunately for FTV there is also a great reason to vote for the prez to stay four more years, and it’s based on who’s currently against him. There is currently a group of, and I really can’t believe I’m about to type this, Shemales against Bush (please note the extreme irony in that). Yep, that’s right folks, a vote against Bush puts you in the same boat as the shemales. Something to ponder at the polls (cuz you know they’re constantly pondering theirs).

One thing I’ve been pondering recently has been human consciousness (how’s that for a transition!). I just finished David Hawkins’ Power vs. Force and I have to say, after the first 75 pages (which seem to go on forever), this book was one of the most important I’ve ever read. This one’s not for the weak of mind as there is a lot of S.A.T words and technical terms thrown in at times, but overall it’s presented in a form that most adults should be able to understand and I don’t think it can do anything but help a person to read it. Up next for me is Machiavelli’s The Prince, yep, I am a man of very varied tastes, lol!

Another example of my varied tastes was brought to light on Sunday afternoon (no, nothing like that, get ya mind right!). It was a quiet day, kinda rainy, so I stayed in and watched some TV. Little did I know I’d be watching the same show all afternoon long. Don’t ask me why, but I got completely hooked by Blow Out, Bravo’s reality TV show about Jonathan Antin opening up a second hair salon in Beverly Hills. It’s not something I would normally watch but for some reason, on that particular day, I just couldn’t stop watching. I still can’t figure out if Anton has any personality whatsoever. The main employee who did was fired almost instantaneously. It was very interesting to see how some jobs simply don’t allow for a person to be who they are (hmmm, that sounds familiar.... *cough cough* MediaPost *cough cough*).

Today I’m finally going to interview Substantial for ReactMag. It’s going to be strange interviewing someone I’ve known for this long, but at least I know it’s going to be a great article to read once it’s done.

Final thought for the day: How dope is it that Target and Champion are using Eric B. and Rakim’s "Don’t Sweat The Technique" in their latest ad campaign!
