Vid Pick: Pedico - You Can’t Get AIDS If You Never Get Tested
Friday, July 26, 2013

A little over a week ago I posted an interview I did with NYC punk rock band Pedico, and in it they discussed the filming of the video for “You Can’t Get AIDS If You Never Get Tested,” which is the first single off of their full length debut album, The Days Are Just Packed. The clip, which just hit the net a few days ago, takes place on the roof of their manager’s place, a roof one member of the band, Jack Rabinowitz, nearly fell off of, and features an inflatable pool, girls in bikinis, and lots of alcohol.

Pedico’s sound is reminiscent of CBGBs era punk bands of the 70s and 80s, and they have some really witty songwriting to go with that sound. Note the handclaps after the lyric about having the clap. Yes, there’s a lyric about having the clap, but the name of the song pretty much tells you where this one is going. Click play and enjoy!
