It seems my New York football Giants are embroiled in a bit of controversy today because of Jeremy Shockey's comments about Bill Parcells. First off, I have to say, Shockey is the man and I felt his comments were hilarious. He dissed the former Giant head coach, and at the end of it all called him "a homo." Now all of a sudden all sorts of Gay rights groups are up in arms saying how offended they are. Well guess what, in America we have a lot of rights, but there is no such thing as the right to never be offended. It seems nowadays every time someone utters anything even slightly funny, or paints a picture of a religious icon out of animal crap, every stupid rights group suddenly chimes in saying how offended they are. I swear, these people just like hearing the sound of their voices and the possibility of getting a little press. In the end what they should be doing is ignoring what they don't like, just like everyone else in the world does. I have a hard time believing Shockey's comment "rocked" the gay community being that we're talking about football here, not ice skating. To all the gay football fans out there, all four of you, you know who you are, you're the ones who didn't really give a crap about the comment in the first place. Chill out, grab a cosmopolitan and enjoy the game.
